Alright, I’m not going to think a handbag is cute just because of the label that is on it. The idea of buying something strictly based on the principle, ‘because it’s designer,’ is not tasteful.
For awhile I was anti-designer handbags in general. However, recently something in my beautiful brain has clicked over and I’ve really started to like certain ones–especially Louis Vuitton. Necessarily, I had to look into this matter to see how quality these bags are and how much of their value is purely label.
Here is some information I found:
Louis Vuitton has been a top designer in quality bags for decades (huge credibility)
“Vuitton is no ordinary product, but one built on craft and heritage” -times online
-These bag are water proof AND fire proof -DANG …So they’re like a safe you could hide in your closet, come floods or fire, your stuff is good! ;) This is because of the material they are made from: canvas for waterproofing and PVC for fireproofing.
-They’re not floopy but can stand by themselves because of the strong material they’re made from (creating a solid appearance and firm curves).
-All Vuittons are handmade
-It is a company policy to control the number of bags that get into the market so you can only buy one type of Vuitton per client–CRAZY.
-They’re not fad bags and are made to be classic while styles may change.
Now I’m not saying I’m going out today to buy one, this just gives me something to think about. I’m also not discounting that while these are extremely well made bags, they are also highly representative of a social status, which is why they are very much sought after. So although their price point can seem overwhelming for some, it’s good to know that they have some quality to back it up.
Just thought I’d let you in on some facts I found. We should always be informed and educated shoppers ;)
